NOTE: Prosumers should be on a dedicated 15 amp circuit that is not being shared with other appliances.  
:*  Is the green light on in the front of the machine when the power switch is flipped? This green light represents that the machine has power. 
::*  If the green light is not illuminated this could indicate an issue with the outlet, the power chord, or the on switch. 
::*  If the green light is on, is the orange light on? 
:::*  If the orange light is not on, this means that power is not being supplied to the rest of the machine. Make sure the water tank is full and sitting properly within the reservoir support. 
::::*  If the tank is in place with enough water inside, testing the magnet sensor for the tank would be the first and easiest place to start. 
:::::*  Remove the tank and have a magnet handy. Standing in front of the machine and looking down at the reservoir support, there is a black sensor, on the left hand side, about halfway down. Hold the magnet over that sensor and see if the orange light comes on. 
::::::*  If it does, then inspect the magnet in the tank. The magnet may have come out of where it sits and would need to be put back. The cap that holds the magnet in place should be flush with the channel that the magnet sits in. If the cap is pushed down too far or has popped upward, it will change where the magnet sits and the sensor may be unable to sense the magnet. Adjust the cap if necessary. Replace the water tank back into the reservoir support. 
::::::*  If the orange light is still not on, there maybe an issue with the control board of the machine. This will require checking power coming in and back out of the control board with a meter, or sending the machine in to have it serviced by a tech. 
:*  No.
::*  Try testing another appliance on the same outlet. Does this appliance have power? 
:::*  If Yes, we recommend having the machine serviced by a tech. 
::::*  If you feel comfortable accessing the machine, we can check the heating element connected to the boiler. To access the machine, we must first remove the housing. There are 4 2.5mm screws on the top (2 long screws in the front, and 2 short screws in the back). With those removed, the top panel can be lifted off. Beneath the top panel is a shield with a 3mm screw going into the side panels. Unscrew those and lift the shield out of the machine. Looking into the machine from the top, you can find a screw near each of the front, top corners of the machine, which connect the side-panels to the frame of the machine. Loosen these screws (do not unscrew). When done correctly, you will be able to wiggle the side-panels but not lift them off outright. Flip the machine on it's back onto a towel or other soft surface to preserve the cosmetics of the back panel. On the bottom of the machine are 4 3mm screws: two are located near the front corners of the machine, and the other two are at the rear, by the legs. Unscrew these. Return the machine upright while supporting the side-panels at the bottom. Lightly tap the side-panels from the top, causing them to drop. Support the panels by the bottom and grab back sides. Tug the side-panels gently outward and push toward the rear of the machine. The housing should come off like a sleeve.
:::::*  You will now have access to the internals. Facing the front of the machine, the element we need to look at are located on the right end of the boiler. You will notice black and blue wires connecting to the element in the boiler. Unplug these and leave them unplugged. Plug in the machine, turn it on, and see if the GFCI pops. If it does not pop, the element needs replacing. If the GFCI still pops, turn off the machine and unplug it. The electrical is arcing somewhere in the machine. You can check for pinched wires or scorch marks to investigate what is damaged, but a repair is recommended.

Confirm that water is coming through the group head when the volumetric button is pressed, and that this has been isolated to a steam boiler issue. (You can still get water out of the group head without the boiler being full.We should be making sure the autofill function has successfully filled the boiler. Easiest way, remove the probe from the autofill and let it run for a few seconds, watching the level in the tank and see if it starts to drop. Put probe back on. Do not run this for too long or you will over fill the boiler and water will pour from the safety.

:*  Try putting the plumb line hosing into an external bucket or container filled with water and see if the machine will draw water from this source, instead of your water line. Do you get water flow now?
::*  Yes. There is a blockage in the plumbed line. 
::*  Yes. There is an issue with the water pressure on the house. 
::*  No. Move on to the next question. 
:*  Is the volumetric button panel illuminated?
::*  No. If the pump does not come on, it is possible there is an issue with the volumetric button panel, or the ribbon cable has come undone on either the button panel, or the control board. You can check the cable by removing the two 2.5mm screws (one on each side) to remove the cover and have access to where the ribbon cable plugs into the button panel. Lightly push down on this on either end, then the middle to ensure that it is tightly and fully seated onto the connector. To check the other side of the ribbon cable, the housing needs to be removed to give access to the control board that is on the right hand side of the machine if you were facing the front of the machine. The ribbon cable should be inspected for breaks or damage of any kind  and then you should push on either end, then the middle of the connector on the board side to ensure that it is properly seated.  <!--'''(will need video)'''-->

::*  The Elektronika’s volumetric button panel will flash all the lights if it is running out or water, or if no water is being drawn in at all.
::*  When using the plumb line of the tank, make sure that the correct orientation of the selector valve is being used. The valve is under the machine, to the rear. It will only point in two directions, towards the front of the machine, and towards the rear of the machine. This is a manual direction that opens to whatever water source is being used, and closes off the unused source. Also, in the front of the machine behind the drip tray is a single switch. The switch is used for picking the water source for the machine. When the switch is pressed in to the left towards the left side of the machine, it draws from the tank. If you flip the switch to the right, it will know its drawing from a water line. This is also how it is able to bypass the tank sensor when using a dedicated water line.
::*  If the machine is not drawing any water, the back panel of the machine should be removed. The plastic socket that the water reservoir slides into should be inspected. On the inside of the socket is a plastic post that runs through it that pushes the ball bearing in the reservoir valve upwards, allowing water to come through the tank into the socket. The post should be inspected to make sure it is not broken or bent. The socket should be inspected to make sure it is intact and not broken in anyway. This is common due to shipping damage or age, pushing down too hard with the water tank. 
:::*  If the socket is fine, the water lines coming off the socket should be looked at to make sure they are not kinked shut. If the water line is kinked shut, no water will come through to the pump, or be able to be forced through via priming. 
:::*  If the socket and water lines are fine, you can remove the waterline coming off of the pump and try running the pump to see if water comes through. If it does not, this means either the the pump or the pump motor is faulty or seized. If water does come through, then this could be a sign of a bad solenoid or a blockage in the hydraulic system

::*  No. You can try raising the water source to be level or higher than the machine. For example, if you have the line going into a bucket, put it on the counter instead of the floor. 
:*  Is the pump drawing water? If no water is being drawn the pump will be louder. Try priming the machine if water is not being drawn in. 
:*  Inspect the area around the pump to make sure nothing is touching and vibrating off the pump make it appear as loud. 
:*  Inspect the nuts on the underside of the machine to ensure they are tight, but not too tight. If the nuts are loose it will cause the pump motor to be loud from movement.

As long as water is not leaking around the portafilter from the group head, this is totally normal. Over time, the portafilter will wear in to a normal 6 o’clock position. It could take about a month or two. As long as it is making a good seal, then it is fine. In another year or so, the gasket will need to be replaced again, and may still be a little off center in the beginning.
