Your group gasket is what creates the seal between your portafilter and your group head. On average, group gaskets should be replaced once a year. Common signs of failure are water leaking around the portafilter while brewing, and being able to easily lock the portafilter way past the middle position while brewing. It is a good idea to replace the group gasket once a year, as the older a gasket gets, the harder it is to remove. The instructions on the right will make replacing your group gasket a breeze. If you are unsure which replacement gasket to buy, please consult a member of our technical support team.
